Award Categories
Each year, the Crescent Area Chamber takes pride in recognizing individuals, businesses and organizations in our community who truly represent what is best about our community. The Chamber’s Annual Awards Gala serves as an opportunity for us to identify those who have gone above and beyond in helping to ensure that Crescent continues to be an excellent community in our region in which to live, work, and play. Businesses and organizations are not required to be a Chamber investor to be considered.
All nominations must be received no later than September 20th.
Note: Both third-party and self-nominations are acceptable and welcome.
Citizen of The Year
Many say the best part of the Crescent is the people. There are many individuals in this community who have made a significant impact through volunteer service, public service, leadership, and more. We appreciate your help in bringing to our attention the individuals who deserve consideration for our Citizen of the Year Award. Please provide as much information as you can; this form will serve as the starting point for the Awards Committee as they consider their selections for the year.
Small Business of The Year
Our local businesses have a huge economic impact on our community, and we appreciate your help in bringing to our attention local businesses who deserve consideration for our Business of the Year award. Please provide as much information as you can; this form will serve as the starting point for the Awards Committee as they consider their selections for the year.
Small Business award is for businesses less than 50 employees.
Non-Profit of The Year
We are fortunate to have amazing non-profits serving Crescent and helping to improve our local community. We appreciate your help in bringing to our attention local nonprofit organizations deserving of consideration for our Nonprofit of the Year award. Please provide as much information as you can; this form will serve as the starting point for the Annual Awards Committee as they consider their selections for the year.
Large Business of The Year
The Large Business of the Year Award is given to a Crescent Area Chamber member business and that has shown outstanding leadership and initiative while producing
significant results benefiting our communities. They may accomplish this through growth, focus on customers, impact on the community,
and support of other community organizations. Nominees for these awards will demonstrate one or more of the following characteristics:
Exceptional growth (revenue, expansion, product offerings, jobs)
Innovative products and/or services
Exemplary customer service
Active involvement in the business community in the North 65 Chamber service area
Large Business of the Year -More than 50 employees
Frontline Hero of The Year
The Frontline Hero of the Year Award is given to recognize a Crescent frontline worker who has excelled in working toward the well-being of our residents and visitors in the past year. Nominees may be a volunteer or employed in the areas of health care, law enforcement, fire fighter, or education. The nominee must work in Crescent.
Emerging Business of The Year
The Emerging Business of the Year Awards are given to businesses which have contributed to the economic vitality.
The business must have operated for less than five years and be a member of the Crescent Area Chamber of Commerce.
Nominees must demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following:

Demonstrate a high level of entrepreneurial spirit, level of creativity and determination to be successful.

Business with a reputation for integrity and exemplary customer service in the community.

Business, its owners, and/or its employee(s) participate, support and/or volunteer in community activities.

Had a positive influence and impact on the area business community.
